Stony Brook Village Center

08/18/2017

Come to Stony Brook Village Center where you’ll find over 30 specialty shops and restaurants in a charming setting overlooking the harbor. And there’s always free parking.

The Stony Brook Village Center is unique and charming, with a consistent, Colonial style throughout all its buildings and its beautiful open spaces and view of Stony Brook Harbor.

The Village Center was  meticulously planned through the vision of Ward and Dorothy Melville, who had a dream to creating a “living Williamsburg.”

Stony Brook Village Center has long been recognized as the first planned shopping center in the country.

The mechanical eagle atop the post office flaps its wings on the hour. Enjoy 35 shops and 7 restaurants.

*Covid-19 update: The Stony Brook Village Center shops, restaurants and services are all open for business and welcome visitors to come stroll through the beautiful outdoor setting. Restaurants are following CDC guidelines for safety with distanced tables and masks required while not seated. Several offer indoor and outdoor dining options,as well as pick-up and delivery. Check the Stony Brook website for individual restaurant updates.

All retail shops in the Village Center are open and guests are asked to follow the safety measurements put in place by the individual stores and New York State. Check the Stony Brook Village Center website for updated retail store hours and other services offered.
